Porcelain Paving Patio in Petts Wood (BR5 1LF)

The Client resides in Petts Wood, BR5 1LF. Their recently developed garden did not meet the family’s requirements, prompting them to approach us for a new porcelain paving patio.

After a period in their newly constructed residence, the Client observed that the lawn tended to become excessively muddy, posing an unsuitable surface for their young child to play on. Upon our recommendation, they opted to eliminate the lawn and replace it with an attractive porcelain paving patio, offering a consistently appealing appearance and a suitable play area and relieving them from the constant lawn maintenance task.

The project commenced once the choice of colour and style for the paving slabs was finalized. We excavated the turf and removed the existing patio, including a small shed deemed unnecessary without the need for lawn care tools. The area was then levelled, and hardcore was laid. After dampening the hardcore for a solid foundation, we installed the porcelain pavers across the entire space, leaving a gravel-filled border around the edges. The original drainage channel was replaced with one that complemented the new porcelain pavers.

The Client is delighted with their new, easily maintained, child-friendly outdoor space and appreciates how the porcelain pavers set their property apart from others in the neighbourhood.
